About Us
The school was founded in 1865 to serve the village of Ardleigh.
Attached to the school is the School House, which contains the administration and reception area.
There are three classrooms in the main building for Beech (year 5 and 6) , Blossom (year 3 and 4) and Bud (Reception, year 1 and year 2). We also have a fully-stocked library and area for small group teaching. We also have two demountable buildings which are used for smaller group teaching.
The school has a large hall which was completed in 2005. This, along with our outdoor learning area, school garden and extensive outdoor space, offers us wonderful opportunities to broaden our curriculum and further develop our links with the community.
We have a very active Friends of Ardleigh St Mary’s fundraising group, who organise exciting events for children and parents to enjoy.
We are fortunate to have a School Patrol Crossing Officer, keeping our families safe while crossing the busy road outside our school.
